Photography Exhibition
Everyone knows Dr. Mukesh Batra as a 'doctor' – pioneer in facilitating the acceptance of Homeopathy in India and as a leader in Homeopathy retailing in India since 35 years. However, apart from being a successful doctor, there is another facet to his personality – that of being a 'photographer.'
What began as a hobby through encouragement from friends and family, took a serious turn 4 years back when he held his first annual photography exhibition-and-sale. This year was the 5th year of Dr. Batra's Annual Photography Exhibition.
Photography for Dr. Batra has been a means to help society since all the proceedings of his photographic exposition go to charity.
For the first four years, all the proceeds from the sale of photographs were donated to 'Happy Home & School for the Blind' with whom the Foundation has had a long-standing association. This year, the Foundation also associated itself with 'People For Animals,' which is India's largest animal welfare organization. The proceeds this year were donated to both these NGOs.
According to Dr. Batra, photography has helped him tap into many facets of his life. It has helped to hone his senses, making him more alert, sensitive and perceptive. He feels that all the qualities that make him a better photographer also make him a better doctor.
